Kristie R. Blevins, Ph.D.

Eastern Kentucky University

Kristie R. Blevins is Associate Professor in the School of Justice Studies in the College of Justice and Safety at Eastern Kentucky University. She received her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. She has published numerous academic journal articles, book chapters, and professional reports and teaches classes at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Her current lines of research focus on crime prevention, principally concerning burglary, and the occupational reactions of individuals working in security and criminal justice professions.

John Cerasuolo

John is the President and CEO of ADS Security, the 21st largest security company in the US. ADS Security was named the 2014 SDM Dealer of the Year award recognizing one company that demonstrates unmistakable success, a high level of innovation and notable growth and accomplishments in the security industry.

 

John grew up on Long Island, NY and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1983 with a BS degree in economics and political science. He later earned an MBA degree from Clemson University. Upon graduation from the Naval Academy John joined the Navy Nuclear Power Program and was a senior officer in the Engineering Department of the nuclear powered cruiser USS Virginia. In 1988 he joined Michelin Tire Corporation in South Carolina as an industrial engineer. John was then Vice President at Alcoa Fujikura Ltd, a telecommunications company, until 2008 when he joined ADS Security.

 

John is board chairman of the Beacon Center of Tennessee, serves on the Advisory Council of the Atlas Network and the Board of the Bastiat Society.

Robert has over 20 years of industry experience. He started his career with King Central as an alarm dispatcher in 1990 and rose through the ranks within the organization. He developed and launched Morlyn Financial Group, LLC—the finance, acquisition and lending arm of King. From Morlyn, Robert moved back to King and was promoted to Vice President of Criticom International (formerly King). During his tenure as Vice President he oversaw three monitoring centers, managed over 350 employees, grew the operation from 350,000 accounts to over 800,000, all while increasing and maintaining the operational service levels. In 2011, Few joined Time Warner Cable, now Charter Communications-IntelligentHome where he has built a compliance team to support the rollout of security services across 28 states. As Vice President of Marketing, Megan MacDonald is responsible for all aspects of marketing including strategy and execution for all brands and branches under the ACA portfolio.

 

Prior to joining ACA, Ms. MacDonald served as Director of Marketing and Product Operations for LifeShield, A DIRECTV Company. In her role at LifeShield, Ms. MacDonald was responsible for all aspects of product management and marketing from engineering to customer experience and satisfaction. In this role specifically, she led the launch of LifeShield’s most recent innovation, its third generation security system now in market. Additionally, she was responsible for designing and implementing programs to support operations both remote and field based. Prior to the DIRECTV acquisition of LifeShield, Ms. MacDonald served as VP of Sales and Business Development where she managed LifeShield’s sales call center plus managed and cultivated all online and offline marketing partnerships.

 

In addition to her experience at LifeShield, Ms. MacDonald has over 10 years of experience with various organizations driving revenues through new product and programs introductions, most notably at NutriSystem where Ms. MacDonald led many new initiatives from inception through execution including international expansion, the launch of NutriSystem D, a product and program for people suffering with Type 2 Diabetes, and also its entrance into retail.

 

Ms. MacDonald received her Bachelor of Arts in Education from The Catholic University of America and her Masters of Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University.
