Director of Programs for the SHRM Foundation

Beth McFarland is the Director of Programs for the SHRM Foundation, where she is responsible for all Foundation inclusion initiatives, publications, research and scholarships. Based in Alexandria, Virginia, the SHRM Foundation works to empower HR professionals to build more inclusive organizations where all employees thrive and organizations achieve success.


Beth is currently leading an initiative to help employers hire, engage and retain military veterans in the civilian workforce. Prior to joining the SHRM Foundation in 2001, she managed SHRM’s student membership program of 300 college chapters and 10,000 student members.
