10 Jan Decoding Prospects and Motivating through Emotions

Leadership Summit Speaker Jeff Ruby Provides Actionable Leadership Advice

Business development expert and founder of RedRock Leadership, Jeff Ruby, will lead two Leadership Summit Seminar Sessions, sponsored by Axis Communications and Telguard, on Tuesday, February 14.

“Changing demographics, new technologies, aggressive competition and sophisticated consumers, demand we change the way we do business or face extinction,” says Ruby. “Too many people respond to these challenges by doing what they have always done in the past. Those that thrive welcome change and renew themselves by aligning with current and future realities. Let’s face it, in today’s busyness, we fail to collaborate. Your job is to create trust and synergy and collaboration.”

Ruby has over 20 years of extensive experience in business strategy, analysis and marketing, human resources, executive coaching, training and development, sales, and sales management. As founder and president of RedRock Leadership, Ruby demonstrates his expertise through increasing sales and profitability, elevating team effectiveness, growing and developing rising leaders, developing strategic direction, and driving significant cultural change for companies in changing market conditions.

In his session,Leading with Emotional Intelligenceat 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, he will dive into the power of emotions and how they can sabotage businesses. Here, participants will learn the 5 key skills of Emotional Intelligence:

  • Personal Awareness – Recognize one’s influence on others.
  • Integrity – Let one’s intentions match their actions.
  • Internal Motivation – Do the right things for the right reasons.
  • Empathy – Recognize the emotions of others.
  • Social Skills – Build positive relationships.

Following this session Ruby will launch into his next session, Build Positive Relationships at 4 p.m., which looks into the intricacies of personal relationships in business and the effect positive relationships can have on opportunity, influence, communication, and team behavior. Attendees will learn how to decode prospects and clients, understand nonverbal communication and tonality, adaptive behavior styles, and convert adversaries into allies through building a positive relationship.

Setting the bar higher than ever, the 2017 ESA Leadership Summit will bring together businesses looking to do more than just survive; businesses that want to thrive.
